Who we are
LA County Parks Pass is proposed in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation. This statement covers the Parks Pass companion website and the in-park digital experiences operated for the participating park network.
What we collect
- Necessary data — language preference, accessibility settings, RSVP and check-in state. Stored locally in your browser unless you opt in to sync.
- Optional location — when you tap “Nearest park,” your device shares a one-time coordinate with the page. It is never sent to a server or stored.
- Analytics — if you opt in, aggregate pageview, region, and device metrics help us improve programming. No advertising identifiers.
- Marketing — only if you opt in. Used to coordinate park program announcements and re-share County updates.
How we use it
To deliver Parks Pass, remember your preferences, support programming, fulfill accessibility commitments, and report aggregate engagement to County stakeholders. We do not sell personal information.
